Weekend Pentecost Walk

Hello, how are you? Here all the great because the last weekend (along for the Whit Monday is a national holiday here) are not returned home and had a special guest: Paola! Arrived Friday night at the station in Lausanne to 20:16, we then spent a few days running here and there, relax and enjoy the sun! Yeah, while in northern Italy that there was bad weather here has been fantastic so that my wife was walking around in shorts and T-shirt ... incredible! We visited a lot of places around here starting Saturday with a visit to Neuchatel, with its castle and the lake, concluding the day with a stroll Cortaillod appetite to come near the marina and a Petit Cortaillod seratina eating at a restaurant Thread native perch, very good. On Sunday we decided to move a bit 'and more, equipe the need for a picnic lunch, we went to visit the capital Bern, and we have traveled far and wide in the center, we ate relax a bit 'down the river and we finally went to see the famous bears and the rose garden ( obviously still not flowered). We managed to avoid for a very short time that followed us by car, arriving at Cortaillod. This has constrained and we could not stop in Murten (a small town near the lake of Neuchâtel), will be for next time ... maybe a bike! On Monday we decided to take a stroll to visit the nearby Boudry and the surrounding area, we then we ate a little bit and then headed car in La Chaux-de-Fonds for a short visit, typical for its construction "square" with the streets perpendicular to each other and to be the highest town in Europe at the end, however, does not show much "special ". Also threatened by the storm here, we decide to make us a tour of the valley near the border with France and here we see some really beautiful landscapes, green meadows, forests until you reach a little lake, then find out, winter freezes becoming totally the main attraction for skaters of all ages. Also in retrospect, I find that this area is called the "Switzerland's Siberia" because the area is being colder winter temperatures reaching a few tens to below zero. Returning home, after admiring the beautiful Creux-du-Van, we granted the sacred resting in the sun at the end of the day (though more than 25 degrees) on the "beach" of Cortaillod. Seeing many children swim, we decided to freshen up your feet at least (we were not a costume) ... but the impact of cold water, you had to see the face of Paola ;-) Oh well, also did this, there are returned home for dinner and prepare for the luggage of Paola at 7:46 yesterday morning and left at a time of Lozza from Lausanne City! What can I say, now look only to recover my bike to explore other beautiful places and then we'll see, keep in touch I'll see you updated! Until next time! PS: as soon as possible even insert photos of this weekend the usual place!

Within the company, you can cool off in a small pool, surrounded by tables in the shade of oaks, stopping first for those locations. Enjoy an aperitif before the delicious typical lunch. The pork roast, cooked expertly grilled, the good and full-bodied wine Cannonau, will be accompanied by salami typical of this area.

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF DON Nanni Guiso

Orosei
L’economia, once predominantly agricultural, is now based on tourism, in fact, the facilities are able to meet the varied needs of those who decide to choose as a holiday destination Orosei. Do not miss opportunities for recreation and cultural enrichment, and food and wine. The inhabitants are distinguished for their hospitality el'operosità. Mining has also led the Orosei marble to defend the Italian brand in the world. A
Orosei, in the historic center, the museum of ancient theaters Stages miniature dating back to 700. Don Nanni Guiso, last noble Baronie, always remember that day that changed his life. "I was ten years old when my guests, some Austrian aristocrats came to a shoot in Sardinia. They brought me a precious gift in theater white and gold neo-classic style of porcelain with puppets. They were all characters of Il Trovatore, dressed in sumptuous clothes and fine linen. That day, for me, it all began .... " began the passion of the collector stages Lilliputians that, until his death a year ago, she patiently picked the models Theatre - the oldest dating back to the eighteenth century - unearthed around the world. Theatres of painted wood, plaster gilt paper pasted on cardboard, ebony carvings, lacquered iron. A unique collection in Italy (elsewhere There are museums of toys, doll houses, puppets, puppets), thirty-seven pieces on display in Orosei, in the seventeenth century palace of the Museum Nanni Guiso. Here, in the building (restyled by Vittorio Gregotti) that until the early twentieth century housed the barracks of the Royal Carabinieri, the exposure is more fabulous than a museum visitor can imagine. Worldwide Don Nanni that, despite having moved to Siena - where he opened the study of a notary, was a brother to the restoration of works of art and was a great patron - he never forgot his country. So, after giving the money to the renovation of the church of Santa Maria Pisa 'e Mare, which was falling apart, the last aristocratic Orosei gave a gift bigger. "I want to donate my entire collection - announced - for the birth of a different museum, culture and entertainment." It was inaugurated in 2000, the structure that hosts the show. In addition to miniature theaters, Don Guiso drawings donated to the city of the Roman School (Mafai from Scipio), and some furniture and paintings of the Sienese school, and collection of old books (encyclopedias by nineteenth-century Sardinian flora, the first editions of novels by Grazia Deledda) including - most precious piece - the Constitution of Pope Sixtus V, who esercitan s'Arte Contra sos de s'Astrologia. A unique text, dating from 1587, written in the Sardinian language in a historical moment in which the law required the use of ecclesiastical Latin. Among the most visited rooms dedicated to the costumes and evening gowns. One of the many fixed aesthetic Don Nanni, who learned to love as a child the precious materials and the harmony of colors. In the thirties, his mother Donna Concetta Guiso commissioned the greatest costume design and the making of carnival costumes for the two children (one even ended up on world Pannunzio, as an example of Fascist taste), while the grandmother, Antoinette Women Satta, is served by most established couturiers. The entire collection of haute couture is the top floor of the museum: there are the costumes Carnival of the Child and the dress of her grandmother, mauve and purple silk, trimmings and tassels, fashion of the last two decades of the nineteenth century, when under the corset was a bust of whale bones. There are three gorgeous models signed by the Callot Sisters, dressmakers atelier in Paris with Russian queens of Haute Couture in Liberty style, which among others also dressed the Empress Sissi. And then, next to the black cloak of Rudolf Nureyev - that the New Year's Eve of 1980, the villa The apparatus of Siena, was the guest of Don Nanni - there are the clothes that became a collector of Orosei donate from his aristocratic friends . Is there a Dior in 1955, full time New Look, chiffon Horloges rouille, with five overlapping skirts, a gorgeous red Valentino Gigliola Curiel a black silk crepe and organza, and then dresses Capucci, Versace, Schubert, Patou. A small room of fashion, which traces the evolution of taste and aesthetics of women's clothing to this day. "My theaters? I wanted to donate them to children: it is to them that I dedicate this collection, "said Don Nanni Guiso. Were the mirror of her childhood and then love for opera and melodrama. Always remember the day when friends of his father arrived from Vienna gave him the first stage in miniature, and told of a trip to Brussels - his little boy, accompanied by parents who indulged his passion - and discovered Theatre of Toone, "country atmosphere, smoky pipes and cigars, peeling walls, benches carved from the use and unsteady in the tiny audience, and especially the simplicity and only three strands of the puppets." Thus began a search for and collect during his travels, the most precious and special theaters. Gorgeous the Venetian, wood and plaster, dating from the mid eighteenth century, with the puppets of Pantalone and Columbine iron moving through a crank mechanism. It is valuable, among many exhibits, the Royal Theatre armchair, Florentine workmanship, first half of the nineteenth century, which reproduces the curtain of the Teatro Argentina in Rome, which was destroyed in a fire, and a scene Don Carlos by Verdi. Then there is the theater, which comes from Germany, with the presentation of the living room of Manon Lescaut: gilded chairs, the silver Tiffany, Chinese porcelain, ceramic stove, frames, hand-carved by artisans in the workshop Bartolozzi Maioli and Florence, and the proscenium decorated with precious seal the nineteenth century. Thirty-seven pieces, highest among the fifty centimeters and meters, all to see to know an art and a forgotten world - that of small manufacturing related to scale - that almost no longer exists. Don Nanni Guiso has pursued throughout his life for his enchanted world and eventually wanted to tell.
